Call for Position Papers
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly interwoven with healthcare, trust, privacy, and security challenges need to be addressed. Our workshop will center around the following questions:
1. How can the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) community address growing challenges in human-AI interaction at the intersection of trust, privacy, and security in healthcare?
2. Which trust, privacy, and security challenges have we encountered in patient-AI interaction, clincian-AI interaction and patient-clinician interaction supported by AI?
3. What has helped in the past to safeguard trust in AI-supported healthcare?
We will hold a full-day in-person workshop in conjunction with Interactive Health (IH) 2026 to define and implement safeguards for trust, privacy, and security, featuring interactive, plenary, and prototyping activities.
We invite HCI researchers working in health, medical, trust, privacy, and security contexts to submit a 2–3-page position paper using the single-column ACM template. This should include a research reflection and current/past challenges or solutions. The paper should be sent to isabel.schwaninger <at> uni.lu by 16 April, 2026 AOE.
Accepted workshop papers will be published on https://ceur-ws.org/ upon consent. All participants and at least one author of each accepted submission must register for the workshop.
